About this tool
Merge PDF joins separate PDF files into a single document, in the order you choose. It is useful for combining scanned pages, putting together an application or submission packet, or attaching supporting documents to a report.
Everything runs inside your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library. Your files are read on your own device and the merged PDF is created there too, so nothing is uploaded to a server.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change the order of the files?
The files are merged in the order they are listed. Use the up and down arrows beside each file to move it, then press Merge PDFs.
Is there a limit on the number or size of files?
There is no fixed limit, but because the work happens on your own device, very large files or dozens of big PDFs can be slow or run out of memory, especially on phones. For large jobs, use a computer.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password first, then merge. If a file cannot be read, the tool will tell you which one.
Will my formatting change?
No. Pages are copied as they are, so text, images and layout stay the same.
